
All the inquisitive one’s friends and neighbors went on vacation: all at once.
“What’s so great about leaving here and going somewhere else?” wondered the inquisitive one.
So the inquisitive one packed up some things and went to the beach. But everyone else must’ve gone to different beaches, since there was no one at this one.
The inquisitive one strolled on the sand, went swimming in the waves, and lay in the sun. The inquisitive one had a cooler and ate lunch. The inquisitive one had a book and read many pages.
Then a boat appeared and landed at the dock, and lots of people got out. Arguing and running and shoving and yelling, they set up a beach volleyball net. But instead of playing, they kept on arguing.
The inquisitive one had a ball.
