It’s not just a room (of one’s own) that is needed. We also need room—that is, we need space.
Space to think. Space to grow. Space to be.
When the traffic is swerving and backed up and blocking you into a lane that feels too narrow . . .
When you’ve been trying to make it to the coast, but all you ever see is long horizons of strip malls and car dealerships . . .
When you adore rabbits and Lepidoptera, but not when they’re taking up residence in your garden beds and cupboards . . .
Push them aside. The erratic vehicles, the gaudy lights, the hungry critters—they have no place in the room of your mind.
Make yourself some space. Then fly above it all.
