The year is half over; how are you doing on your New Year’s Resolutions? (If you made any, of course. I know that not everyone does.)
I made six resolutions, and I *may* have already achieved one of them!
One of my resolutions was to watch a movie all in one sitting. This is a challenge for me because of my post-concussion syndrome. (Read other blog posts about my concussion journey.) And I did it! That is, if you count an hour-and-a-half-long movie as a movie. I feel as if I’m riding a bike with training wheels like a pro, but those training wheels won’t come off until I watch a two-hour-plus-long movie.
In any case, I watched the documentary Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie all the way through, start to finish. It was a great show, very moving and also comedic, and I recommend it.
Next up: an even longer movie.
As for my other five resolutions? Well, I have made laughably little progress on those. I think I aimed a bit too high with most of them. But there’s nothing wrong with dreaming big and striving to be the best you can be, am I right? I’ll keep working, and maybe I’ll set some interim goals that I can shoot for in the meantime.
How’s your progress coming along?
Be proud of yourself, definitely an hour and a half counts! I am sure you’ll be able to get through longer movies when you are ready.
Hugs
Thanks, Linda!!
